Iwona Piwońska

A true Poznań milonguera

Founder and teacher of the Poznań-based Argentine Tango school, Tango la vida. For over a decade, she has been educating and inspiring others, sharing her deep passion for Ibero-American culture. As a long-standing organizer and co-organizer of milongas, workshops, and festivals, she is an active figure in the local milonguero community, also performing as a Tango DJ. For ten years, during the spring and summer seasons, she has been organizing one of Poland’s most renowned milongas: the Open Air at Liberty Square (Plac Wolności) in Poznań. In her daily life, she is a social activist, a mother, a neurological speech therapist, a lover of ethnic music, and a fan of fine cuisine.
