Couple with a fascinating, unique style
Anders Båtstrand (El Ingeniero) began his DJ journey with a laptop in Oslo in 2012. An early fascination with Japanese transfers soon led to an inevitable vinyl collection, and by 2014 he was playing from vinyl as well.
He has played at marathons and events across Norway, Finland, Germany, France and Iceland, including what is believed to be Europe’s first vinyl-only tango marathon, the 2016 Vinyl Tango Fever in Basel, Switzerland.
His heart belongs to the music of the 1940s. The music must move him first — then it can hopefully move the dancers. He brings a clear vision to each tanda, variety across them, and shapes it all into a larger plan for the evening. That is what he loves most as a dancer, and what he strives to provide as a DJ.
