String Theory: Calesita – space for interpretation

“String theory” treats the body like an instrument, allowing quick changes of style and expression within the same movement. This creates more contrast and musicality – from sharp and precise to soft and fluid.

Calesita becomes a space for exploration. It can include led movements like voleos, crosses, and turns, as well as decorative elements. The focus is on shaping movement quality over time – from smooth and continuous (legato) to sharp and rhythmic (staccato) – so the dance reflects the structure of the music.

The workshops will be conducted in couples, in English. They are open to intermediate and advanced dancers. You can purchase a single ticket, and the organizer will make every effort to ensure a proper balance of roles. The number of participants is limited to 30 people (15 couples).
